Little eagle

IMG_7976set free, made alive.

cage opened wide so

I could fly out the cage

like an eagle longing

to go home.

The sky is it’s home.

where it feels the wind

go through it body.

and the higher it soars

The more at home it feels

I flew to close to ground

while i was meant for the sky

My wings were clipped

by self condemnation.

But this little eagle was set

free and told to live life to

the fullest in freedom

Truth Be Told

hello everyone, I have good news to share with you all. I wrote and published my first E-book. writing a book has always been something I wanted to do like when i’m older, I had no idea what to write about at such a young age, and it hit me Kindness your good in poetry, why dont you write a poetry book. So i began to write, taking it one day at a time. This poetry book is a book that carries a real message that will encourage and uplift anyone who reads it, and my hope for when I wrote this book was that ill be happy if one person would read it and there lives changed in some way by it. It’s a book inspired by God, and also deals on social issues that we face, one of them being depression.

I made a sound track with my brother just to give you a glimpse of the content of what to expect. Its my own voice and to be honest I have insecurities speaking in public or being heard on mic, I just feel that my voice is weird, but i’m learning to love it. please do enjoy.

if your in SA and you would like your own soft copy for a price of R50 email me, find my email at contact page of blog and those who want the book can check it online on amazon.

Reflection

fefa0d96-ea85-4264-98d0-6d39599eea4f

I am brunette

I am beautiful yet gorgeous.

And I am always on point.

Tall long legs,

Blue eyes.

Slim waist

Evenly toned skin.

Every day I face the mirror

It’s reflects truth of

How I look?

It tells me what works,

And what doesn’t

Its opinion is non bias.

10 min in day.

It judges my look.

And hands me the final vote.

When I leave Mirrors reflection

I am own my own.

Unable to view self (me).

I reflect back on what mirror showed me earlier.

I don’t forget my image,

I took a snap shot and

Stored into my memory.

Memories remind me of my beauty.

Mirror reveals.

Mirror tells truth.

Except the hearts reflection.

And how fare the heart?

Been thinking on What James said in James 1:24-26. We as people use mirrors every single day from brushing our teeth to calming our hair and for the ladies who use the mirror to do makeup. After all is done with we leave the mirror knowing that we look okay. You definitely won’t forget how you look. Like the way we look at ourselves in the morning we should look at it like the Bible, not just seeing it or browsing through it but be doers of what it says.

22 Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. 23 Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like someone who looks at his face in a mirror 24 and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like. 25 But whoever looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues in it—not forgetting what they have heard, but doing it—they will be blessed in what they do.

I love women and the role the play in society. I love the strength and the unconditional love they have to overcome trials and obstacles, which I have seen from my own mom and the friends I have around me. Like people MJ, Dineo, Matevhu, Tshili and others. Women should be appreciated and valued more. I appreciate you guys, lots of love.

The man behind the screen

We meet people day to day or meet new people for the first time. I have met you and I often wonder, what is your first impression of me does my poems and short story say what kind of person I am and what are my dreams and aspiration. I hope it enough, but today is a new day, and I want to share with you a video I took of my 22nd year birthday this year May 7th. I gave a short speech of some of the things I hold dear to me, the hopes and dreams I have in this world. At the core that who I am, all summed up in a video.

Dreams

next year, I plan of following my dream, start full time ministry and start traveling. Since I will be finished with my degree, the fear i have is finances. But I trust that God got that covered. so just got to go for it. Its going to be a long road but fun too. And also aspire to write a book, already written one looking to publishing it next year Jan. So that me warped in a shell.

My favourite food

Food, Food, Food.

Food is so delicious.

My mouth becomes watery.

I drool at the sight of food.

I know all kinds of food.

Food that taste good

Food that taste amazing

And the food that taste terrible.

Oh Food, Food, Food.

It comes in all shapes and sizes.

It lifts you up when you’re down.

It comforts you when you’re alone.

But we have so much to choose from.

Do I go with chocolate or ice- cream?

Steak or ribs?

Chicken or beef stew?

Vegetables or fruits?

Pap or rice?

We all have favourites.

Favourite this!

A favourite that!

A favourite person!

Favouritism is all and well.

Except people favour.

Favour discriminates people.

Favour shows prejudice.

Having favourites made me a judge.

People put on the stand.

Choice put in my hands

Who I like and who I don’t.

My choice has consequences.

Whom shall I choose?

The answer is neither!

This was inspired by the book of James in the 2nd chapter, where Paul speaks of favouritism. He says that we as Christians should not show favouritism to anyone be it the rich or the poor. A comparison of this would be between, high politician and an everyday working class person. To bring it down to our levels in today’s world, we all have our favourite people. And we would say “this or that person is my favourite person” to others. I know I have. I’m guilty as charged. And it’s okay to have close friends or even best friends but we should be objective when it comes to making decisions. Even if it means choosing between the side of your best friend and someone you barely know. Favouritism in the church of Christ can cause division. Many people have been hurt in their families by the statements that parents make when they say “this is my favourite child” in a family which has more than one child. We don’t want that. Let’s leave the Judge which is Christ to judge not us, because we are definitely not qualified.

James 2:1-13

Give it a read 😊

My Great Wall

I have walls up, down

To my left and right

All around me.

I have learned to become an architect.

In my past, I’ve been wracked.

People had come to my little village.

The came and left a mess.

Before I had no walls.

Now I have built one.

Its range goes as far as you sight can see

Its walls are as tall as the sky.

Before people they would come and go.

Now no one can enter my village.

My land has been empty of visitors

For years.

I have put up walls

Because you broke my heart.

Because not just once but twice.

Not only you but others too.

People entered my little village

And destroyed it.

My heart was the village.

The walls built to protect my village.

The bricks I used to build, were made up of…

Attitude, Distrust

Disappointment, Hurt

Prejudice, Pain

And Ignorance

The great wall now surround me.

The wall made my love grow cold.

The village lights no longer shine.

My heart has become darkened.

A brilliant architect I was.

I build a wall around my heart

To protect my heart from hurt and pain.

The wall that I build became my destroyer.

No longer can I feel, love, trust, or live.

People are not all bad.

I will build a new wall.

Built from all that good,

LOVE, JOY HAPPINESS, TRUST & UNDERSTANDING

My wall will be strong and immovable.

It will guard my heart and soul.

From the invaders.

From my enemies.

From those who mean my village harm.

I’ve been hurt many times in my life, and what hurts us the most is the people closed to us. We have learned to put up walls around ourselves to make it hurt less and over time, we have become dull to the pain. Heartbreak is the worst when the ones we love leave or reject us. We should not close ourselves to people. People will never be perfect, they will always make mistakes like we do. Guard your heart but in the process don’t cut of people from our lives. Let’s forgive one another. I want to share this scriptures that will help us both get back on the right path.

Guarding your heart

Proverbs 4:23

Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.

Let him in your heart (Jesus words to us).

John 10:10

The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy, I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.

He will guide us.

John 16:13

But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own, he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come.

Love others

Matthew 22:37-39

Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

The power behind a story

When I read story of man of faith and all the obstacles they went through but never doubted God. It’s so inspiring and amazing . People like Joshua who went into war and God gave him what he promised. Joseph who was sold into slavery but he never wavered in his faith. Not once does it say God why have you done this to me, he turns and worship God through his situation. Through his faith in God, God provided for him in his worst and he prospered. David who defeated a loin and a bear having complete trust in God.

But in this day and age, we doubt and our faith is not strong the situation we face and the things we have seen affect us and may make us doubt. We may have the Holy Spirit who guides us all into truth but we would than say it was not him or such excuses. In times like this we need to press deeper and look at what the Word of God says and look at the examples that remind us of Gods faithfulness and promises.

Stories that were written, where written for especially me and you. To give us hope. To lift up our faith. To move from the impossible to the possible.

A while back I read to story of Joshua and that did something to me on the inside it showed me that despite my circumstances I don’t have to lose hope. Word give hope and reading a simple story can be life changing. Read a something that’s good for you and brings value to your life.

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”

‭‭John‬ ‭1:1‬ ‭NKJV‬
