The trail of the ‘unfortunate Three’

This is a tail about three young people, by the names of Jessica, Collins and Nomsa. This Story speaks about three characters that have been through difficult ordeals in their lives. From whose life’s, we will learn life values as well as the importance of mercy and grace in a time in the world where we rarely see. As well as look into biblical concepts of what is a new start and how does it look like.

It all been an in a small town of Thohoyandou, were three young students by the names of Nomsa, Jessica and Collins, whom surprisingly attended the same primary school together. In the beginning of the school year 2016 there were big government people who made the lectures and principle quiver in their boats, it was unnatural for them to do so which got everyone’s hairs up.  It was later explained to the students that the government people who were roaming the hall ways of campus where actually from the Department of Education. Tshedza Secondary School was under review to test its performance and how to better or help the students as well as to achieve their best performances. The sad truth was that although most of the students had great potential many of them come from tough backgrounds and family life at home was not as simple for them. Their home responsibility impacted their end results even though it was not from lack of trying. Over time The Department of Education assigned a local school counsellor to set up a test that would test the chances of a student’s likeliness to succeed in the future. So it was done.

Nomsa, Jessica and Collins were one of the students who wrote the assessment test. They got to discovery what matters most to them, where they see themselves in the future. These three students had great aspiration for their future. Nomsa, a brilliant student who scored top in her class, aspired to be an attorney to serve justice to those affected by criminal injustice. Jessica had a passion for art just like her assessment pointed it out. She loved singing with all her heart and soul. She loved literally anything to do with fashion and clothes and her long-time dream was to be a singer/actor/entertainer. Collins, a shy kid who prefers to spend a majority of his time in front of a good book or in his imagination. He secretly dreams of being a great writer, who will be in New York’s bestseller list.

Two years later had passed, and it was as if the Department of Education had never visited the humble school, Tshedza Secondary School. School facilities were improved and the school was left better off after the departments visit. Better yet a spark was lit under many of the young students whom only began to discover their life’s purpose. In the quiet, the embers of light still flicked in some students, three in particular by the names of Nomsa, Jessica and Collins. At this time they were in there final year.

Nomsa, still brilliant as ever was scoring the top of her class, doing well in class. In that year everything seemed to be going perfect. But home was a different problem: she was not as wealthy as many of her classmates, every day she would have to cook for her little nephews as well as do her own work. Her mother was a single mom and worked two jobs, just enough to pay the bills and take care of her children, she would often say to the kids “you are my purpose for being” with a big fat smile on her face.

Nomsa later that year manged to pass her matric very well and also got two distinctions, her mom just like many other moms was filled with joy. The following year letters came flooding in and it was from the different institutions that had accepted her to study law. She was happy and it seemed like the whole world was up for grabs. As they say “good news is seldom-ly followed by a cloud of bad news.” Her mom lost her second job and could not afford to pay for her university fees. As much as it pained her mom, she asked Nomsa if she could stay the year till everything was better. Her walls were crashed at that moment but she knew that her mom needed her. She held her chin up and wiped her tears off her cheeks. This seemed like the end for our little Nomsa.

Now Jessica our young art lover, on her matric year she had many hurdles she had to overcome. By this time she was a musician in her own right, even though she was still learning the game. She would save some of her allowance money and at times find ways to raise money in order to have enough to pay the studio to record some of the original songs she would write. Jessica was all about following her love for singing and anything linked to the entertainment industry. She would often say that “music is her plan A and there is no need for a plan B.” In her matric year just after writing finals, one decision she came to regret changed her life.

She was pregnant! On the news of that, there was a dismayed and heartbreak knowing the reality of her situation she would soon have to give up her love for music. She was now a young women without a plan. Luckily for her what played on her side was that she did well in her matric and with the support from her loving yet not totally understanding parents, the future was not lost for her. The future was no longer as certain as it was in the past, now it was just full of many twist and turns with no clear destination.

Collins being Collins, it seemed that the stars had already stacked the deck towards his favour. Although he was not the most vocal in the class or the best looking, he had a beautiful mind that would change the world one day in the future. Collins managed to do well for his matric and completed his university studies in journals and from there his future was bright as ever. Collins through the years of writing finally found out that what he needed most was what he lacked. He did not have confidence in his own work. He once attempted in writing a book that sat in his apartment on his bedroom drawer. No one has ever laid eyes on that book. Collins was what we call a closet writer. A young man full of unlimited potential kept hiding.

A decade had passed and all the school had was having a ten year reunion for the class of 1998. Many students had come from all around the country and a few who where working oversees. They all come to the small town in Venda named Thohoyandou, which was the home for many of the former students. This was a time to come together and celebrate their accomplishments, and others to show of their success.  It came about that Nomsa, Collins and Jessica were all present at the Thsedza school reunion.

There were old high school clicks setting together and the first person their eyes zoomed too was to Jessica. She was known by most of the classes, the girl most likely to succeed because of her pregnancy in her final year. She was stunning and had on the white glamorous dress which was glittered when light caught its reflection. It was rumored by some that she was married to a rich man, but that wasn’t just it. Jessica’s story continued after that metric year.

She was at the bottom of a hole with no sight of a better future. She now had new responsibilities, with her pregnancy she was no longer as naive as she use to be, she could not fully follow the plan she had set for herself. Many of her music promised record signings disappeared when they had heard that she was pregnant. Jessica did not let that one set back keep her down, through her family support she managed to study a degree in sound engineering. During her studies as a hobby she released singles online all the while juggling being a single mother. She eventually got a noticed by Matevhu & Chila Records and was signed by them. They were the biggest music production company at the time. Jessica went on to make a name for herself in music and nothing could stop the dream and heart she had for music.

Nomsa was there on that day she had had a smile which brightened up the room. She was sitting in a corner having a conversation with her old friends from class. She told her story to her friends, she never had the best of circumstances like the rest of her classmates, at such a young age she had to take care of her cousins. She acted like a mom figure way before her time. Nomsa’s mom had lost one of her two jobs during her matric year and this meant that Nomsa would not be able to attend university that following year, despite her great marks. The following year after her matric year she would stay at home taking care of her cousins, but for Nomsa she had not lost faith, she would constantly apply for bursaries and learner-ships at different companies so that she would be able to go study criminal law at the University of her choice. Though many of her class mates have moved on, and also surpassed her she remained strong and kept on fighting for her own future. Nomsa would often say to herself more times than not, in moments where hope seemed bleak “Greater is He that is in me than he that isin the world.”

Nomsa managed to get the bursary that she was hoping for. Over time she became the successful lawyer she dreamed she would be. She was married and had two wonderful children who were the apples of her eyes. She was the happiest human being in that class reunion she would tell her friends. It’s the difficult times that shaped her to the women she is today, she said with a smile on her face.

Collins too was there at the reunion sitting in the corner of the room. He was not as shy as he used to be. He was a journalist for South African News Bulletin. He was accomplished as a writer. But because he never polished his writing skills in poetry, storytelling as well as writing fan fiction. So Collins dream never came to fruition, he only reached half of his purpose. Still a men living in his own mind, full of imagining and wonders. Collins had forgot the dream that he once closely held close to him.  For some reason Collins was not living a fulfilling life. He managed to do well for himself. He was rich and had all the things money could buy him. There would always be that one thing that would never be able to point out that kept him wondering.

The story of the unfortunate three turned our well in the end. Fate was not on their side but through dedication and hard work they curved out a path for themselves. Even though not all achieved all that they intended too from the start. They came a long way in the journey they were walking. Life is never fair, but what you make of it is what matters. Dreams that we thought had died where revised, adverse circumstances that would have hindered many where conquered. These three stayed true to who they were and to the values that they had. In times when the world swallowed them and spit them out, they came to see grace and mercy in their life that purled them to their destiny.

battlefield of love

I’m fighting a war, this war does not take place on a ordinary battle-field. But in another plain. The heart. I war with the questions of, what is love? And exploring the edges or the difference between words like infatuation, lust and love. As if I am walking on the edge of a blade and as I get to find my answers its feels like I ever closer for falling on my own sword. There are those who dwell in the world, whom fear love, others see it as a weakness and a few see it as a strength. For me, I realized that it is Love that makes us human. And without it, we have no humanity but become like the beasts that walk the earth, lost and alone without love.

Unexpected Love

The one I loved.

or thought I loved.

Never loved me the way

I expected to be loved.

Missing the mark to my heart

And I hers. Destiny fated against us.

As we slowly fade away, like mist over a lake.

Our hearts wishing if maybe it was a different season

or maybe a few days ago. we would align, like

the Orion constellation in perfect harmony.

This is my heart ache.

I will mourning us for the day

but tomorrow I move on.

Me in You

your are in me and I in you.

when I am lost, one look at you.

I find myself in you,

you are my map home, you are home.

Complete I am, when i’m with you

when I thirst, I drink from  the fountains of your love.

I’m in love with loving you.

Like a drunken man who let go of the bottle.

Like a baby wails for his mom.

as much as or even more than I love my life.

I LOVE YOU

F.R.I.E.N.D.S

New friendship, has a certain aroma to it.

Don’t you think?

It is as if, its  the break of spring.

caring the sweet taste of honey,

and bring great joy to an tired old heart.

It signals the beginning of a new dawn.

One with no end in sight.

This new friendship is like bust of light

that shines in my dark days.

I find peace in knowing that you dear  friends are not

far behind.

Always there, never gone.

To sprinkle a little joy and happiness

on my delicious muffin called my life.

Adam longs for companion

img_5473

My heart longs for you

And you don’t even know it.

Even when I am sober, still I think of you

Your beauty is like that of a dove.

You cause my soul to take flight.

But my mind guards my heart.

From the pain that could have come loving you.

My mind’s eye never shuts.

Watchful of the Gods gift to man, wo…man.

And my heart swifts through all the women.

Trying to find the perfect match, for my soul

So one lone soul may have a soulmate.

Is she the one? Is not the question I ask.

But is she the right one for me?

That’s is the question I ask.

When I think of her, and make my decision.

To wait or pursue, as God intended.

To be honest the world is full of so many beautiful ladies and so many that are good. But it does not mean if the person is good people, they are always the right person for you to be with. And the hardest thing is letting that person go, the other would be waiting for that right person who is your fit. Now that one is a killer, when you go through life waiting for the person that raves your heart. Most people get impatient and try to make things happen on their own and that can led to heart break and pain. But those who wait and act when it the right season will be happy and the wait will be worth it when you meet that person. One important thing as guys and girls, we should always make sure to consult with your best friend, not that friend you’re thinking of but the other one the one upstairs Jesus Christ. He always gives the best advice and knows everything. He will tell you if it’s a red light, yellow or green light. To sum it all up do it with God.

Reflection

I am brunette

I am beautiful yet gorgeous.

And I am always on point.

Tall long legs,

Blue eyes.

Slim waist

Evenly toned skin.

Every day I face the mirror

It’s reflects truth of

How I look?

It tells me what works,

And what doesn’t

Its opinion is non bias.

10 min in day.

It judges my look.

And hands me the final vote.

When I leave Mirrors reflection

I am own my own.

Unable to view self (me).

I reflect back on what mirror showed me earlier.

I don’t forget my image,

I took a snap shot and

Stored into my memory.

Memories remind me of my beauty.

Mirror reveals.

Mirror tells truth.

Except the hearts reflection.

And how fare the heart?

Been thinking on What James said in James 1:24-26. We as people use mirrors every single day from brushing our teeth to calming our hair and for the ladies who use the mirror to do makeup. After all is done with we leave the mirror knowing that we look okay. You definitely won’t forget how you look. Like the way we look at ourselves in the morning we should look at it like the Bible, not just seeing it or browsing through it but be doers of what it says.

22 Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. 23 Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like someone who looks at his face in a mirror 24 and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like. 25 But whoever looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues in it—not forgetting what they have heard, but doing it—they will be blessed in what they do.

I love women and the role the play in society. I love the strength and the unconditional love they have to overcome trials and obstacles, which I have seen from my own mom and the friends I have around me. Like people MJ, Dineo, Matevhu, Tshili and others. Women should be appreciated and valued more. I appreciate you guys, lots of love.

The heart-breaking story of Will Johnson

img_5002

This is a story about two people a boy and a girl. Love has bloom early and the aroma of young love is in the air. A sent of jasmine flower that pulls your heart. This tail tells of two 16 year old’s named Will & Jannat, who grow up in a small quiet little town of Jackson Valley.

___________________________________________________________________________________________

Will was a young boy with curly hair and a dark chocolate skin color, he blended in like every teenager in school. Will was setting in class when a new transfer student Jannat walked in class. Will starred at her as if time had stopped, Will noticed that she had hair as smooth as silk and her eyes were hazel brown. At that moment. Will felt something beating in is heart he could not explain for someone he had never met. He knew on the inside he did not want the feeling to end.

Mrs Adams introduced Jannat to the class and gave her a seat away from Will to sit for the rest of the year. Class commenced and the period went forward. Jannat was new to the school she was nervous and had not even found one friend yet. She was pretty shy for that whole first week, she barely noticed Will watching her from a distance with eyes of admiration. She later made a new friend named Sarah who would soon be her best friend. They became inseparable as school year continued.

Will day in and day out finally figured out that “wow I think I like Jannat”. It was the first time for Him. He came to a realisation and acceptance of this, a week of meeting the wonderful Jannat. With each passing day Will would attend same classes with Jannat and would occasionally speak to her and they would make small talk. Each passing day, Will would like her more and more. And eventually this feelings became love.

Time has passed and it was the Third quarter of the school year. Jannat finally confessed  to Sarah that she really liked Will and thought he was the cutest. Will had no idea of this. Will on a Friday night approached Jannat he slowly walked towards her as he was as cool as a cucumber on the inside and the most nervousness  he has ever felt. He opened his mouth and said “Jannat may I talk to you for a minute”. Jannat said “sure”. Will told her in a long winded why how much he LIKED HER, his words at first where hard for him to say but eventually he did. Jannat breathe taken at what she thought this could only happen her dream, came to life in front of her eyes. She said four simple words to Will “I LIKE YOU TOO”.  There was then a breeze of awkward silence in the air. Will caught off guard speechless, out of all the possible scenario’s he played in his head, he never saw this coming. He then quickly said to her in a moments hast without thought “Will you be my girlfriend”. Jannat agreed and it was sealed.

How they fell for one another within the first week, they were constantly together, staring into each others eyes lost in space, no words necessary to communicate. Sarah the best friend begin to see her friend Jannat a lot less. This is the nature of love. The school year come to an end and so much had happened through the course of that time. Jannat had made more friends and joined a sports team, Will signed up for extra class and various activitys for extra credit, oh and Sarah still friends with Jannat, she had a crush on someone and also joined her best friend in taking up a sport.

Something happened that summer holiday. Jannat’s parents sat her down, they had not so exciting news to tell her.Her Dad said “Sweaty, I got an amazing job opportunity to work for an engineering company. We are going to have to move across state to Wisconsin in two weeks’ time”. Jannat’s heart dropped and she feel into a daze her mom tired explaining the reasons but she heard nothing of it, over taken by shock. Jannat had a lot of processing to do with this information and how she would go about it.

After three days of processing she came to a decision that she would have to break up with Will in order to for him to be able to move on without her in his life. A big decision left in the hands of a teenager. Later that day she picked up the phone and gave Will a call, you see she was not strong enough to do it in person. She told him that she loves him but it won’t work and anymore and “IT’S OVER” because she is moving far away and dropped the phone. And that was that, She never saw Will till the day she left, she messaged him a month later after she had moved.

Will on the other end of the phone call, was heartbroken at hearing that she was leaving Jackson Valley and when he had also heard what she said next his heart broke into more pieces, like a mosaic on the floor. She is not only leaving town but him too. The words “IT’S OVER” rang in his heard over and over again. Days passed whilst Will tried getting hold of his love with no success, than a few days later she had left”.

In Will’s home, his Mom began to worry about him. She was a single parent and she did not know that Will even had a girlfriend. To her eyes Will was still her little innocent boy who was single and haven’t had his first kiss yet. Will began to close off emotionally and a while later he barely ate. His mom had no clue what was going on with him, Will spoke less by the day. His mom in desperation sent her son to all the best help money could buy.Psychologists, doctors and other specialists to look and test her son.

After months of testing and probing the doctors and the specialist figured out what’s wrong with Will. He had a pain that they were unable to treat and that was a BROKEN HEART. Mom found out from who and why from Will’s  friend who had come forward after she approached him. Mom had no way to turn to help her son. A week had passed and she had met someone whom she had invited into her home and into her heart and He was Jesus Christ. He preferred being called Jesus or J for short.

This man told Wills mom (Marry) that He is able to help him out. Marry jumped in joy as she was hearing this and she then was overjoyed. Jesus instructed Marry to take a passage of scripture from his word and go read it to your son and I will guide you what to read to him. Jesus gave her three passages to read from. And she read

Isaiah 61:1

“…sent Jesus to heal the broken-heated, proclaim freedom to the captives, and to open the prison of the bound”

She read some more

John 10:10

“… I have come to that you may have life and life in abundance.”

And lastly

Colossians 1:2

… being knitted together in love, and attaining to all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the knowledge of God, both Father and Christ.”

When she was done reading something magical happened to his hear that she could not, his broken heart was pulled back together. It was a new heart, better than the last. Will than invited the man who had fixed his heart like her mom had done. And after that day He had a greater love that resided in him one that will never ever leave him. A love that forever. And a kind of love that no one could ever in a million years separate him from

The End

I wrote this short story because you know why. We could be going on life with an untreated heart issue that could have happened to you in your past or is happening to you. The heart is one of the most important organ in the human body, it is where all the issues of life come from. So if it’s infected or injured it’s a problem. Guys there is not all the ice-cream in the world you could eat to heal your heart. Maybe you have tried other ways and they have not worked for you. Give Jesus a try and let see if He can, if he says he can surely he can. He has been doing it for me every time I got to close to the flame meaning ladies and got burned.

Hope it’s great.”

Words are never enough

My word’s can’t seem to express the depth of my heart I feel for you.My voice is unable to utter the frequency at which you can tune into the affection  & love that I have feel for you. My wish is that one day, you could see the reflection of my heart beat in my eyes. That when you hear me speak, you can feel the love in the tone of my voice. Every time I say in the simplest & plainest words “I love & care for you”
