My heart longs for you
And you don’t even know it.
Even when I am sober, still I think of you
Your beauty is like that of a dove.
You cause my soul to take flight.
But my mind guards my heart.
From the pain that could have come loving you.
My mind’s eye never shuts.
Watchful of the Gods gift to man, wo…man.
And my heart swifts through all the women.
Trying to find the perfect match, for my soul
So one lone soul may have a soulmate.
Is she the one? Is not the question I ask.
But is she the right one for me?
That’s is the question I ask.
When I think of her, and make my decision.
To wait or pursue, as God intended.
To be honest the world is full of so many beautiful ladies and so many that are good. But it does not mean if the person is good people, they are always the right person for you to be with. And the hardest thing is letting that person go, the other would be waiting for that right person who is your fit. Now that one is a killer, when you go through life waiting for the person that raves your heart. Most people get impatient and try to make things happen on their own and that can led to heart break and pain. But those who wait and act when it the right season will be happy and the wait will be worth it when you meet that person. One important thing as guys and girls, we should always make sure to consult with your best friend, not that friend you’re thinking of but the other one the one upstairs Jesus Christ. He always gives the best advice and knows everything. He will tell you if it’s a red light, yellow or green light. To sum it all up do it with God.
My name is Kindness Shikwambana and I am in full time ministry in the University of Venda for Every Nation Campus. I believe in changing lives through the word of God and empowering young leaders to be equipped to share the gospel to others through love, because as ambassadors of Christ, we are all God representative of the faith in with we are believe to Christ. Every believer should feel free to live out their faith and believes without fear.
If we can reach out to young leaders we get the opportunity to have influence in many sphere of society and reaching the next generation as well, by establishing strong biblical foundation, to the people on campus. How do we do that? trough activities that we have in the local church like events socials for examples like color first, which is an event that we have to welcome first years into the family other activates include Engage Friday where we do evangelism.
You may be asking yourself where I fit in this whole picture. In the church I run engage department which is evangelism in the church. We have achieved much in this department as Venda campus. A brief overview is that we were previously not as strong in evangelism we only went out frequently in a year. But From last year around August I was equipped by the church to train other students on campus in our church to go out.
This is my small group
We empower young leader through this to be strong leaders. By instilling Godly principals in young man. So they can be better leaders
Equipping others to share their faith and who Jesus to others and to grow spiritual in relationship of who Jesus is. there has been many testimonies and salvation through this activity of actively sharing the gospel.
welcome first years to our campus by hosting a yearly social, to make them feel at home. And also getting to connect with them and get them into family. First year as a student are the hardest and loneliest at times. This is how we reach out to students. we host the event on campus hall.
Venda mission outreach
In late August a mission team came to help us equip and train young leaders in the church, and during their stay it was recorded that there was around 72 re-commitment and first time commitments to Christ in only two weeks. It only goes to show that the harvest is ready, we only need laborers.

Fire on my feet
Fire on my toes
Fire all around me.
Consumed with what’s people say is best.
But what’s always best for other can’t always be best for me.
I’m developing a heart condition, something is weighing on my heart and it won’t leave till I get it off my chest. And confront it.
A heart soaked in Tears
My heart is soaked in tears.
Tears that continue to flow.
My mind thrown into chaos.
Clouded my others opinion.
My true heart,
Shine a path for me.
Will I take it?
God give me strength too. And the courage and wisdom to follow my heart.
There lived a guy named Themba, he was tall and handsome with a nice trimmed cut with burned sides. He lived in the city of Gauteng Johannesburg, Themba at that point was going through a rough path in his life. His wife left and divorced him. Themba would go far deep into the City of Johannesburg to a bar named The Cocktail Lounge. It was the best bar in the city with star recommendations. It had the best music that echoed as it hit the walls, there were beautiful ladies serving on a trey that would take his mind off his sorrows. At what Themba loved most about it was the bartender, he would make drinks that would set him free from worry, stress, anxiety and the pain he felt.
There was another bar that was just around the corner in which Themba would pass every time he would make his way to The Cocktail Lounge. This bar was not the most glamorous bar in the block and there was a rumour that they only served some kind of water there. The bar was called Hill Tops. It only had a few people, most of the costumers left to go to the fancier bar that most people would say was a paradise.
Themba developed a curiosity about the bar, but he was happy at The Cocktail Lounge. Even though he was hurting the rest of the day except for the time he was at this Cocktail Lounge for the two hours of paradise. Whilst at the bar Themba would do what he always enjoyed doing which was talking to the bartender, he became something like Themba’s priest, while he was indulging himself in drinking. The bartenders name was Seth Damion. Oh he had a clever tongue whatever words he said, would sound like the truth. He knew how to make people feel good about themselves. He would give his customers advice that seemed to be the cure for all their life’s problem, but was actually a match that would light a spark to them.
One fateful day, as Themba was walking down the road to the place he rest his mind. To lay in sins bed for the next hour. He felt the other bar calling him, this time it was not like the other time, it was like he heard a quite whisper in his ear saying ‘come’. Themba decided that maybe it’s time for a change of scenery for a while, so he made his way to Hill Tops. The place was like nothing he imagined, it seemed to be a regular bar on the outside. So Themba took a sit at the bar. At this point Themba started a conversation with the bartender as it was his routine of doing at this point, Themba read the name Jes on the bartenders name tag. The bartender tried to correct him but was shut down, Themba just wanted to get his worries off his chest with a drink of Hunters Dry or something strong like Vodka.
Themba asked for a drink Hunters to get his night started, the bartender said ‘sorry we don’t serve that here’. Themba then asked for a drink of Gin iced, the bartender also did not serve that too. The bar men then told him the only drink they served at this bar was water. Themba chuckled and said ‘really the rumours are true’ with a look of disbelieve on his face, he asked himself what kind of bar is this that does not serve alcohol, he then finally said with a higher pitch what do you serve then’, he was frustrated at this point and needed a drink to soak all his sorrows and worries. Jes told him that they only sold water not just any water, a special type of water that could only be found here witch was actually shipped from a foreign country.
Themba took the drink and had a sip of it, its texture was like water, but the taste was not like everyday water, it had a sweet taste to it and it had a small punch to it. It was unlike anything he ever had. Themba started talking to the bar man and said things he never had said to others and during this time he realised things that he was at fault for and finally took responsibility for it, Jes was there as a ear to listen and guide him. As Themba continued talking he drank more and more water. And he realised the more he drank the happier he would become. He asked the bar man what kind of water was this and the bar man answered, ‘Its living water’. He then further went on to say ‘My name is not Jes, but Jesus the uniform is getting old and I need to get that fixed, are you enjoying your drink.’
Themba was shocked and amazed he knew that there was something different to this bartender, he knew this was true deep inside his soul. His mind was blown wide open, he asked Jesus what is the reason for this encounter and he said ‘I am here for you, I am here so that you can have life, and have it to the fullest. I love you and want to set you free from the hole you are in, I’ve been called from the start and today you heard me. Take my living water and let me in so I can help you’. Themba was happy to surrender his life to the bartender, he knew there is nothing that can go wrong with him by his side.
From that day Themba was happier in life, and full of joy. He stopped drinking and changed his life for the better. Hill Tops bar mysteriously disappeared after that day. Themba thought maybe he was drunk that day and he was seeing things, but that day illusion or not his life was changed forever. Themba felt like he was reborn, a new person. He searched for the place where he could get some of that drink of water he had had in the bar, He found a church although the water did not come in the same shape, he still knew and felt, a gentle touch of that bartenders presence in the church. He finally was set let free from the prison he was in and brought in to the light, a better life of purpose and never ending joy like a fairy tale with a Happily Ever After.
we all have seasons where we face had times and we tend to down in emotions of anger, regret, loneliness. At this time we would make bad decision in attempt to comfort ourselves. Like drinking or any substance and there are those who would even scar themselves. Well i’m here to tell you today that its not over. You don’t have to go through the worst on your own, you may think nobody person understand you, but there is one who knows you inside out, he wants to be with you in this times, where you are pushing everyone away. He want to listen to all the things you want to say. He has not come t o condemn you (John 3:17), but to give you life and life in abundance (John 10:10). He want you to come lay your burdens on him, so he can give rest to your soul and remove all the weight that on your chest (Matt 11:27-28). Don’t give up God got you, just call on him and he will be there.
John 3:17 (condemnation)
17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.
John 10:10 (abundant life)
10 The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.
Matthew 11:28-29 ( Rest & peace of mind)
28 Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am[f]gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”
When pen meets paper
And the Ink splashes onto the paper.
My mind becomes clear as water.
As emotions flow like a river.
My heart utters its truth in words.
My lips can bear to speak.
It paints and inks a masterpiece.
Of the hearts true beauty captured in words.
My blood boils without my pen and paper
My soul is weighed down.
My heart weakened by life’s blows.
Inner thoughts are filter by words.
As I write, my broken heart heals.
Pieces put back together.
My mind is at peace.
My body relaxes.
All is well in my Being.
And sometimes I write.
To speak truth.
To encourage and inspire.
To change and alter life.
To show my unseen love for you.
Conflict raises in my being
Between two loud voices.
Between my mind and soul.
One is of logic and the other feeling.
Where lays the truth
Heavy decision must be made
Only one voice can sway my path
Which path should decide my future?
My mind is clever.
It comes at me with lists and what if’s
Like a super computer, weighing the scales.
Data gathered from all works of life and others experiences.
My soul speaks
But what I hear is demands action
It lives in the present, it disregards past experiences.
Raw emotion pulling my ear to listen.
God own spirit speaks to my soul
My soul agrees with this spirit and my soul screams louder.
This voice in conflict with people expectations and wishes of your life.
Soul and mind.
Which will my choice.
The truth of who I am hidden in my feelings
And counterfeited truth of what I should do in the mind.
What will I pick?
Feelings or Mind.
I am brunette
I am beautiful yet gorgeous.
And I am always on point.
Tall long legs,
Evenly toned skin.
Every day I face the mirror
It’s reflects truth of
How I look?
It tells me what works,
And what doesn’t
Its opinion is non bias.
10 min in day.
It judges my look.
And hands me the final vote.
When I leave Mirrors reflection
I am own my own.
Unable to view self (me).
I reflect back on what mirror showed me earlier.
I don’t forget my image,
I took a snap shot and
Stored into my memory.
Memories remind me of my beauty.
Mirror tells truth.
Except the hearts reflection.
And how fare the heart?
Been thinking on What James said in James 1:24-26. We as people use mirrors every single day from brushing our teeth to calming our hair and for the ladies who use the mirror to do makeup. After all is done with we leave the mirror knowing that we look okay. You definitely won’t forget how you look. Like the way we look at ourselves in the morning we should look at it like the Bible, not just seeing it or browsing through it but be doers of what it says.
22 Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. 23 Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like someone who looks at his face in a mirror 24 and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like. 25 But whoever looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues in it—not forgetting what they have heard, but doing it—they will be blessed in what they do.
I love women and the role the play in society. I love the strength and the unconditional love they have to overcome trials and obstacles, which I have seen from my own mom and the friends I have around me. Like people MJ, Dineo, Matevhu, Tshili and others. Women should be appreciated and valued more. I appreciate you guys, lots of love.
